Car show scheduled

Hampton Presbyterian Church will host a car show from 4 to 6 p.m. May 27. Enthusiasts of all makes and models are invited to attend.

Families can expect a fun-filled atmosphere with DJ Denny Dutko providing the musical entertainment alongside vintage vehicles on display. Snacks will be available for purchase.

Civil War Roundtable

The Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Roundtable will hold a lecture at 7 p.m. June 19 at the Hampton Township Community Center, 1301 McCully Road. James Gindlesperger will present “Bullets and Bandages.”

K-12 showcase at high school

Hampton High School will host an interactive K-12 showcase as part of Remake Learning Days 2023 on May 22 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event, themed “The Future is Now!”, aims to engage students, parents and the public in world-class teaching and learning, innovative learning experiences, and future-driven learning opportunities.

Attendees will have the chance to immerse themselves in deeper learning and educational innovations through hands-on student- and teacher-led demonstrations. Additionally, they can tour the new Library Media Center and Studios, grab coffee and snacks at the student-run café, and purchase items created by middle and high school students through student start-up companies.

Fundraising plant sale

The Ingomar Garden Club will hold its annual fundraising plant sale on May 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will include perennials, annuals, hanging baskets, herbs, and vegetables, as well as a flea market.

Young Writers’ Institute

The University of Pittsburgh’s Western PA Writing Project will host its 10th annual Young Writers’ Institute from June 19-23 at Sing Sing Sing, 280 Market Lane, Suite 707, Pine Township.

The workshop is open to incoming fifth- through eighth-graders, and scholarships are available. Young adult fiction writer Caroline Carlson will be in attendance.

The Hampton High School Class of 1973 will hold its 50-year reunion from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 30 at North Park Lounge Cranberry, 20810 Route 19.

Vacation Bible school

Northmont United Presbyterian Church is conducting a vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon June 12-16 for pre-kindergarten children through fifth grade.
