Family Fun Day set at Allison Park church

Nativity Lutheran Church in Allison Park will host its Family Fun Day on Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event is geared toward children from pre-school through sixth grade and their parents.

Activities will be available at the following centers: Storytelling and Puppets, Arts and Crafts, and Science Fun and Games (including a mini-bouncy house).

There also will be a food area with hot dogs, snacks and treats available. Everything is free. You are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item or two for our North Hills Community Outreach food pantry drive.

McCandless Dems summer meet and greet

Enjoy an evening with candidates, elected officials, local committee members and neighbors at Devlin Park (9955 Grubbs Road, behind Town Hall) on Aug. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Activities are planned along with raffle baskets.

Farmers market

The Hampton Township Farmers Market operates from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through Oct. 13.

It features local produce, honey, baked goods, spices and a variety of other items.

Food trucks will be on site several times during the season, with notices posted on the township website.

The farmers market is located in Hampton Community Park, 3101 McCully Road.
