Glenshaw Century Club is hosting a dinner to-go By Heavenly Cuisine Custom Catering on May 7 from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
Pickup will be at Glenshaw Valley Presbyterian Church, 1520 Butler Plank Road.
The cost is $15 per meal. Payment is by cash only at time of pickup.

Proceeds will help fund scholarship Grants for Shaler Area High School seniors.
Spring plant sale
The perennial plant sale will be May 15 from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine, in the upper parking lot of Northmont United Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Hwy.
The sale will feature more than 500 perennial plants grown in members’ gardens and donated for the sale.
Plant sale proceeds will help fund monthly educational programs for the public and support the maintenance of the UPMC Passavant chapel garden. The proceeds also help fund the local gardens in McCandless and Ross Township, including Northland Public Library’s new learning garden, Ross Township’s Community Garden and Evergreen Park.

Greybrooke Garden Club plant sale
The Greybrooke Garden Club is hosting its annual spring plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 8 in McCandless.
Hanging baskets, perennials, herbs, annuals and garden supplies will be available for purchase.
The event is being held in the grassy area near the Bonefish Grill restaurant in the McCandless Crossing Shopping Center on McKnight Road.
A “Reading Corner” for kids hosted by Riverstone Books will be set up during the sale and kids will receive a free seed packet to plant.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will help support Greybrooke’s annual donations to conservancy groups and community organizations.
Covid safety guidelines will be in place during the sale.
Museum opening
The Depreciation Lands Museum will be open every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. beginning May 2.
It is recommended to pre-pay your Sunday donation online before visiting.

Seeking applicants for activities, technology committees
The Town of McCandless is seeking applicants to fill terms on the Activities Advisory Committee (AAC) and Technology Advisory Committee (TAC).
The term on the AAC expires Sept. 30, 2025. The AAC was created with the goal of providing opportunities for community engagement (including, but not limited to, active recreation, games, activities, the arts, music, educational and social gatherings). The committee also will study parks and recreation opportunities and strategies in McCandless and make recommendations to council on matters of policy, practices and capital improvement priorities.
The term on the TAC expires June 30, 2023. The TAC was created to help develop and recommend policies and programs to council to preserve and enhance aspects of the character of McCandless and to address technology issues in the town.
