Tennis court resurfacing

The resurfacing of the Hampton Community Park tennis courts is anticipated to begin on June 3, according to the township.

The project is expected to last until mid-August. Township officials ask that everyone refrains from using the courts during that time.

Sample Road repairs

PennDOT has notified Hampton officials that Sample Road between Laurel Ridge Drive and Bryant Road will be closed for repairs beginning May 28.

The project will take about four weeks to complete, according to the township. Motorists are asked to follow the posted detour.

School district schedule

Hampton High School’s Class of 2024 Commencement is scheduled for 6 p.m. May 31 at Fridley Field, and the last day of classes for other students is June 7

Hampton Township School Board is scheduled to meet for a work session at 7 p.m. June 3, and a voting meeting is at 7:30 p.m. June 10, when the board expects to adopt the district’s final budget for 2024-25.

Club meets at Beechwood Farms

Greybrooke Garden Club will host an evening meeting on June 12, and guests are welcome.

The club will meet at 6 o’clock at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, 614 Dorseyville Road, Fox Chapel. Plant center coordinator Roxanne Swan will present a container garden program on native plants.
