Environmental council seedling sale
North Area Environmental Council is holding its annual seedling sale, offering a variety of non-invasive plants, trees and wildflower seed mixes to add to the beauty and natural habitat of yards and the ecological health of the region.
The council also is partnering with North Park’s Latodami Nature Center to make available lawn-to-nature kits.
Deadline for ordering is April 3. Pickup will be on April 27 at the Latodami Nature Center. Visit naecwpa.org for more information about the sale and to place orders.
Brain injury program at Pine-Richland
Pine-Richland High School will partner with BrainSTEPS to host an informational night about brain injuries, including concussions, starting at 6 o’clock on March 12.
BrainSTEPS offers brain injury-related consultation and training to school staff members, students and parents in all Pennsylvania public schools. The program also monitors students by checking in with their parents annually until the student graduates, aiming to identify any new learning or behavior issues that may arise over time, which is common after a brain injury.
