Sealarks Women’s Group

Sealarks Women’s Group will be holding a fall chili kickoff dinner Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road, McCandless.

This group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone — widowed, divorced or never married. All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining the group.

Hampton Community Library programs

• Grab-n-Go STEAM bags: Stop by each week and pickup an activity bag to get your creative juices flowing.

• Story Stroll Windows: Take a stroll past the library’s windows for stories and activities to do on your own.

• News and Views is back at 1 p.m. starting Sept. 12 through Nov. 3. The popular discussion group will meet in the Adult Lounge to discuss everything from space travel to the Pittsburgh Steelers winning the Super Bowl.

• The Library will be closed Sept. 4 for Community Day and Sept. 6 for Labor Day. Enjoy your holiday weekend.

Car show

The Hampton Presbyterian Church at 2942 East Hardies Road in Gibsonia is hosting a car show Aug. 28 from 2 to 8 p.m. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome.

Women’s Business Network meetings set

Women’s Business Network is an award-winning association that supports the success and growth of women in business through networking, education and leadership opportunities.

Fall Mum Sale

Greybrooke Garden Club will hold its Fall Mum Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 4 at McCandless Crossing in the grassy area near Bonefish Grill. In addition to hardy mums, garden pots, fall and Halloween decor and miscellaneous garden items will be available for sale. Riverstone Books, which will provide activities for children.

McCandless Town Trot

The inaugural McCandless Town Trot will take place on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 in conjunction with the annual McCandless Community Day celebration.

The race will take place on the grounds of North Allegheny Intermediate High School, McKnight Elementary and Carson Middle School. Proceeds and donations from the event will benefit the McCandless Volunteer Fire Departments.

Farmers market

The Hampton Township Farmers Market operates from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through Oct. 13.

It features local produce, honey, baked goods, spices and a variety of other items.

Food trucks will be on site several times during the season, with notices posted on the township website.

The farmers market is located in Hampton Community Park, 3101 McCully Road.
