Latest covid-19 numbers for Hampton, McCandless

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the communities within the Hampton Journal area have varying numbers of both positive cases and deaths.

As of Dec. 8, there have been 502 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Hampton since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. The borough has reported six deaths and 4,050 residents have been tested. Hampton’s case rate is 273 per 10,000 residents.

Since the pandemic began, McCandless has had 687 cases and 21 deaths. McCandless has had 6,428 individuals tested and has a case rate of 241 per 10,000 residents.
