Latest covid-19 numbers for Hampton, McCandless as of Jan. 13

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the communities within the Hampton Journal area have varying numbers of both positive cases and deaths.

As of Jan. 13, there have been 897 cases of the novel coronavirus in Hampton since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. The township has reported 11 deaths. A total of 4,858 tests have been administered to Hampton residents. Hampton’s case rate is 488 per 10,000 residents.

Since the pandemic began, McCandless has had 1,301 cases and 58 deaths. There have been 8,217 tests administered to McCandless residents, and the case rate is 457 per 10,000 residents.
