Youngsters learn about topics related to the human heart during the Little Medical School “Valentine’s Pop-Up” program held in February at the Hampton Community Center.

Little Medical School of Greater Pittsburgh in Hampton provides hands-on interactive programs for children ages 1 to 16 with a focus on health care.

The curriculum offers after-school programs, summer camps, preschool activities, birthday parties and corporate initiatives.

Little Medical School’s approach allows children to explore health care careers, both human and animal, while educating and entertaining them with role play and real medical instruments through more than 400 hours of age-appropriate classes in a variety of comprehensive courses.

Courses include Little Doctor School, Little Veterinarian School, Little Nutrition School, Little Pediatrician School, Little Dental School, Little Pharmacy School, Little Nursing School, Wilderness Medicine School, Sports Medicine School, Science Fair Workshops and more.

The courses have general age recommendations and are not exclusive to enrollment. Students will be provided with all necessary materials for each class. Courses with multiple sections do not need to be taken sequentially and may be taken independently of each other. All courses conclude with a graduation ceremony at which each student is presented with a personalized diploma.

Little Medical School offers seasonal programs such as Little Doctor School Summer Camp, Little Vet School Summer Camp and Wilderness Medicine Summer Camp, along with virtual classes in Curious Human Traits, Exotic Animal Care and Medical Innovations.
