A man has been charged with arson and other offenses in connection with a fire in Millvale.

Stephen Ebner, 41, no address given, is accused of damaging two homes along the 1100 block of Evergreen Ave. by fire in the early morning of March 6.

Allegheny County Police and the Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the blaze. No injuries were reported.

The Fire Marshal’s office said the fire was “incendiary in nature.”

Online court documents indicate the charges were filed March 15. They were announced Monday evening on the police department’s Facebook page.

Detectives determined Ebner was responsible for the fire.

He is charged with two counts of aggravated arson, five counts of arson (endangering persons), three counts of arson (reckless burning or exploding), three counts of criminal mischief, one count of risking a catastrophe and one count of loitering and prowling at night.

Online court documents did not list a preliminary hearing or a lawyer for Ebner as of late Monday night.
