A Pittsburgh man fatally shot in East Liberty Saturday afternoon has been identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.

The victim, Raymond Sims, 70, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the head and neck inside a vehicle at the corner of North Highland and Penn Avenue at about 4:20 p.m., the medical examiner said. Sims was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police that a man, dressed in black, walked up and shot into the vehicle from the passenger side at a busy intersection in the neighborhood’s business district, police said. The man then fled.

Police said they are reviewing footage from the multiple cameras in the area. The department’s violent crime unit is investigating.
