Authorities have identified the man they say stabbed a boy and woman in Robinson and later died in a crash on Route 576 on Sunday.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Brian Allen Thomas, 36, of McKees Rocks.

The stabbing was reported just after 8 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of K Row in Robinson, according to police.

The boy and woman stabbed told police they knew Thomas.

Thomas fled the scene in a stolen vehicle and later crashed it on Route 576, also known as the Southern Beltway, in South Fayette later that morning. He died at the scene.
