Suspect arrested in Turtle Creek shooting that critically wounded another man
Allegheny County police detectives have arrested a man suspected in a Saturday night shooting in Turtle Creek that left another man in critical condition.
Turtle Creek police were called to the 300 block of Mercer Street around 8:15 p.m. for the shooting. First responders found a man with gunshot wounds, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
The Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit was called to assist in the investigation.
Investigators learned that the man who was shot was arguing with Tre Roberson, 23, of Turtle Creek, according to police. The argument became physical, then Robersen allegedly shot the victim with a handgun before fleeing in a black Ford Fusion.
A warrant was issued for Roberson’s arrest. He turned himself in to Allegheny County Police Sunday afternoon. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, attempted homicide and recklessly endangering another person.
Roberson has been arrested numerous times since 2016 on charges of theft and receiving stolen property, according to state court records.
