A man was grazed on the neck in a shooting Thursday on Pittsburgh’s North Side, city police said.

Zone 1 officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for multiple shots fired on the 1300 block of Federal Street around 11:50 p.m., according to public safety information officer Maurice Matthews.

Responding officers discovered shell casings and the victim, he said. The man was transported by ambulance to a local hospital in stable condition.

While processing the scene, police learned of a second victim who walked into a local hospital, Matthews said, but after examination, it was determined the second male was not struck by gunfire.

The investigation is ongoing.
