Pittsburgh police said a man was found shot in the leg early Thursday morning in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood.

The victim, who was not identified, was found in the 3000 block of Zephyr Avenue after authorities received a five-round ShotSpotter notification at about 12:35 a.m., police said.

After arriving on the scene, police said they found the man with a gunshot wound to the area of his right thigh.

Officers said they rendered first aid and medics transported the victim to a hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

The department’s mobile crime unit processed evidence at the scene.
