A man was killed and a second injured during a stabbing in Mt. Washington Wednesday morning.

Pittsburgh police and EMS responded to the 100 block of Southern Avenue around 8 a.m. Wednesday. When Zone 3 officers arrived on scene, they found two males with “severe stab wounds,” police said.

Pittsburgh EMS transported both victims to a local hospital, where the first victim was pronounced dead. The second victim is in critical condition.

Police have one male in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
