A man faces charges of robbery after threatening another man and taking his money at an ATM in Pittsburgh’s Oakland section early Monday, according to police.

Christopher Henderson, 28, of Pittsburgh is charged with robbery and terroristic threats stemming from the incident just after 2:30 a.m.

Henderson is in the Allegheny County Jail.

Officers responded to the 3700 block of Fifth Avenue where a man said he pulled money from the ATM and was walking back to his vehicle when Henderson approached him.

“The (suspect) threatened to shoot him and demanded his money,” according to Cara Cruz, public safety spokeswoman.

No weapon was shown.

Henderson took the money and fled on foot but was caught nearby by University of Pittsburgh police, officials said.
