No one was injured when a man robbed a Pittsburgh bank Tuesday afternoon, city police said.

The man, possibly in his 60s, took an unknown amount of cash from First National Bank in the 400 block of East North Avenue, in the city’s East Allegheny neighborhood, according to police.

Police said the man walked up to a female cashier’s window shortly after 12:30 p.m., slid a note toward her and told her to give him the money from her register drawer as he pointed a dark object in a plastic bag.

The cashier handed money to the suspect, who walked out of the bank and reportedly began running toward James Street, police said.

City Robbery Unit detectives are investigating.
