A man who was shot on Wednesday afternoon in Corapolis was hospitalized in critical condition, Allegheny County Police said.

The victim, who was not identified, was found in the 500 block of Mount Vernon Avenue suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. The shooting was reported at about 5:30 p.m..

Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating.

Anyone with information concerning the shooting is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
