Man wounded in Homewood shooting

A man was shot in the leg Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood, authorities said.

A ShotSpotter alert sent officers to North Murtland Street about 1:15 p.m., police said.

First responders discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his upper leg. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police did not indicate whether there is any suspect in the shooting, nor did they elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
