The communities of Pine, Marshall and Bradford Woods have secured service/funding agreements with the McCandless-Franklin Park Ambulance Authority for the next five years, from 2026 to 2030, according to MFPAA Chief Chris Dell.
This allows for better financial planning for the nonprofit. These communities already have been providing financial contributions to the nonproft ambulance organization, but both sides would have to meet on a yearly basis to review that funding.
The agreement saves the municipalities and the MFPAA time, Dell said.
“We are extremely pleased to have established long-term service and funding agreements with these municipalities,” Dell said.
Dell said the ambulance authority, which is entering its 48th year, has been servicing these communities for 46 years, It also services and gets annual funding from Franklin Park and McCandless.
The current MFPAA 2025 budget, passed in late 2024, reflects contributions from McCandless at $110,000, Franklin Park at $57,000, Marshall at $40,000, Pine at $40,000 and Bradford Woods at $5,000.
Each community contribution is based on the service size and population.
The MFPAA estimated revenue and expenses for 2025 are balanced at more than $3.9 million, per a presentation by Dell, at the McCandless Council meeting in October.
A subscription drive also is underway for Pine, Marshall and Bradford Woods, he said.
