Meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh are debunking social media posts that have predicted a foot of snow to be dumped across Pittsburgh early Saturday.
“It’ll be a non-event,” said Lee Hendricks, from the weather service in Moon Township.
“We will see little to no accumulation Saturday or Sunday.”
(4/4) At this time, there is around a 75% chance Pittsburgh sees 0-2" and a 25% chance of 2-4".

Temperatures are expected to hover in the 30s both days, with Saturday seeing a slight chance of rain and snow with totals of less than a half-inch, Hendricks said.
Sunday will bring much of the same, with temperatures dipping into the high 20s at night.
Hendricks said these types of storms can vary widely.
“Being able to nail down the exact track of the storm can mean the difference of 12 inches,” he said.
“It you go up into New York, they’ll get some good snow.”

Precipitation in the Pittsburgh region is expected to begin at about noon Saturday.
Temperatures will linger in the 30s into Monday, despite Pittsburgh typically seeing lows in the teens at this time of year.
