The Monongahela Incline is out of service until further notice, after incline cars got stuck on the tracks for about an hour on Friday evening, according to Pittsburgh Regional Transit.
People trying to go up Mount Washington by public transit should instead take the Route 40-Mount Washington bus from downtown, or from the outbound stop located along the Smithfield Street Bridge, the authority said on Twitter Friday night.

The incline cars stopped unexpectedly about 50 feet away from their end gates at about 5 p.m., spokesperson Adam Brandolph said.
The cars returned to their stations by about 6 p.m., he said.
No one was reported injured. There were nine passengers going up from the lower station and three passengers on the car going down from the upper station, Brandolph said.
Crews are working to determine the cause of the service disruption.
