Monroeville council welcomed two new faces and one familiar face Monday as a judge swore them in to begin four-year terms.

Existing council members including Mayor Nick Gresock, congratulated councilmen Bob Williams, Steve Wolfram and Eric Poach after they were sworn in by Magistrate Jeffrey Herbst. The Rev. John Patterson of St. James Fellowship provided an invocation following the swearing in.

“I’m looking forward to working with all of you, and thank you to Judge Herbst and Reverend Patterson for the invocation this evening. And I’m looking forward to 2020,” he said, adding that in a moment he will “get these guys to work” at an agenda-setting meeting immediately following the ceremony.

Councilman Greg Erosenko was unanimously appointed as Monroeville’s deputy mayor. He assigned council members to their respective roles in committees.

Council also voted on various appointments, such as appointing Manager Tim Little as the municipality’s secretary and making Joe Sedlak Monroeville’s Open Records Officer.

Council maintained its schedule of meetings for the second Tuesday of each month and an agenda setting meeting for the Thursday prior to the voting meeting. The calendar can be found on Monroeville’s website, https://monroeville.pa.us.

Council will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 14 in council chambers, 2700 Monroeville Blvd.
