Assault, burglary, drug charges among those recently handled by Judge Herbst in Monroeville

Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• Joshua Vincent Piccar, 29, of Greensburg on charges of drug possession, driving with a license that has been revoked or suspended, operating a vehicle without a valid vehicle inspection and failing to provide other vehicle documentation. Charges were filed by Pennsylvania State Police on Aug. 17.

• Douglas Wright, 39, of Monroeville on charges of defiant trespassing, disorderly conduct and cruelty to animals. Charges were filed Aug. 21.

• Timothy Jon Green, 34, of Monroeville on a charge of drug possession. The charge was filed Sept. 2.

• Christian Barr Hawkins, 26, of Pitcairn on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. Charges were filed by Pitcairn police on April 30, 2019.

• Christopher Willi Miles, 28, of Clairton on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a license that has been revoked or suspended. Charges were filed by Pitcairn police on Sept. 6.

Waived for court

• Sara Elaine Johnson, 19, of Washington, Pa. on charges of endangering the welfare of a care-dependent person, making terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and littering. Charges were filed July 31.

• Amnia’Sha Zanders, 18, of Pittsburgh on four separate cases. The first case, filed April 26, involved charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. The second case, filed July 5, involved charges of criminal mischief, defiant trespassing, disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment. The third case, filed July 22, involved charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. The fourth case, filed Oct. 10, involved charges of aggravated assault; simple assault; recklessly endangering another person; criminal mischief; defiant trespassing; careless driving; reckless driving; driving under a revoked or suspended license; and two counts each of disorderly conduct, harassment and stalking. All charges were filed by Pitcairn police.

• Joseph McKinley Jordan, 59, on charges of failing to register as a sex offender and not verifying his address as required. Charges were filed by Pitcairn police on Oct. 8. Court records did not list a home address.

• John Kevin Johnston Jr., 41, of Monroeville on charges of reckless driving and DUI. Charges were filed Feb. 2.

• Keith Richardson, 56, of Pittsburgh on a charge of retail theft. The charge was filed Oct. 23.
