The Turtle Creek Fire Department will host an event Saturday in anticipation of Easter Sunday.

The Easter Bunny will go around town beginning at noon, according to Savvy Citizen, a mobile app that allows governments to communicate with residents.

“Unfortunately, the Easter Bunny will not be able to give out treats due to the virus,” said an announcement, referring to the outbreak.

The app encourages those who attend Saturday’s event to “remind children to wave from a safe distance.”

According to CDC guidelines, people should stand at least six feet apart and wear protective masks to curb the spread of the disease.

No one from the volunteer fire department was immediately available to comment on where specifically the Easter Bunny will appear.
