Bingo returns to hose company
Pitcairn Hose Company #1’s Bingo is back. The Bingo is held every Saturday at their station, 100 South Center Ave. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; early-bird games start at 6:45; and regular games begin at 7. Jackpot is $300 and must go every week. The kitchen will also be open. Proceeds benefit the company.

Ryan Mahokey of Monroeville has been placed on the deans’ commendation list for Gettysburg College for outstanding academic achievement in the fall 2020 semester.
Seeking volunteers
The Monroeville Botanical Garden Committee is looking for volunteers that would like to help with planting and maintaining the flowerbeds in the Monroeville Community Park located on Tilbrook Road.
The schedules:
• May: Clean up the beds, plant the annuals around the gazebo and replace any lost perennials.
• June-September: Weeding and watering.
• October: Fall cleanup, pulling annuals and cutting down plants.
Those interested will be responsible for providing their own trowels, garden gloves and any other equipment they feel will be helpful.

Community cleanup
In partnership with Pick Up Pennsylvania and Waste Management, the Janie Summers Memorial Pitcairn Community Cleanup will be from 8 to 11 a.m. April 24.
There will be waste bins at the borough building, 582 Sixth St.; and at Fire Company No. 1, 100 S. Center Ave.
No TVs, computers or electronic devices will be accepted. Photo ID proof of Pitcairn residency is required.

Jack Sedlak memorial cleanup
Join together with neighbors, friends and family members on April 24 at 9 a.m. for the 26th annual Jack Sedlak Memorial Clean-Up Day. Groups, families and individuals are welcome to participate. An appreciation picnic will follow the event.
