Broadway Boulevard road work
Lane restrictions have begun on Route 130 (Broadway Boulevard) in Pitcairn, Monroeville and Trafford.
Single-lane alternating restrictions are occurring on Broadway Boulevard between Second Street and Haymaker Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through April 30 as crews construct ADA curb ramps. Traffic will be maintained in each direction while work occurs.
Fire & EMS Show
Monroeville Fire & EMS Expo returns to the Monroeville Convention Center, 209 Mall Blvd. The expo is primarily so emergency responders can network with departments and related vendors from around the country. The general public can also check out some fire trucks and equipment used by firefighters and medical staff. Doors open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 5 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 5. Admission is $6. Children age 10 and younger get in free.

Readers Theatre
The Readers Theatre group meets on the first Monday of each month at the Monroeville Public Library from 7-9 p.m. They are willing to work with anyone who has a desire to learn. The meetings include no memorization, no costumes, no props and no sweat.

International Women to meet
International Women will meet on March 4 at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, 2310 Haymaker Road. The meeting will start at 9.30 a.m. followed by the program presented by Tomoko Tamura, International Women’s Club member and former President (1988- 1989). Tomoko will present a program on Japan and will explain how Girls Day on March 3 is celebrated there.
Normally, babysitting is available through the Mother’s Day Out program at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church but due to covid-19, this service is suspended until further notice.
Masks are required to be worn for the duration of the meeting.
Monroeville Public Library
Monroeville Public Library hosts storytime Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 4000 Gateway Campus Blvd. Each storytime is based on a different theme and includes engaging stories, songs, rhymes and creative activities. It is free and takes place outdoors.
The library hosts its third annual Holi celebration 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. March 12. Participants can read a book, do a craft and learn more about the celebration of color. It is free and culminates with an outdoor activity.
