Judge Herbst court cases for the week of March 10
Monroeville District Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Some defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.
Held for court
• Willie Rozier, 20, of Pitcairn on charges of carrying a firearm without a license, criminal use of a communication facility, two counts of possession of drugs with intent to deliver, possession of a weapon, intentional possession of a controlled substance by person not registered and endangering the welfare of children. Charges were filed Feb. 4.
Waived for court
• Nicole Henkel, 47, of Trafford on charge of retail theft. The charge was filed Jan. 7.
• Stephen M. Sullivan, 35, of Wilkins on charges of possession of an instrument of crime with intent, disorderly conduct, conspiracy and intentional possession of a controlled substance by person not registered. Charges were filed Oct. 14, 2019.
• Michael J. Casper, 37, of Monroeville on charges of making terroristic threats, two DUIs, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked. Charges were filed Jan. 10.
• Jessica L. Frendzel, 29, of Murrysville on charges of careless driving, failing to keep right, driving under a suspended or revoked license and two DUIs. Charges were filed Dec. 10, 2019.
• Melissa K. Nesbit, 29, of Plum on charges of having contraband or controlled substance, retail theft, resisting arrest, and use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Nov. 18, 2019.
• Casey Wenum, 31, of Verona on charges of intentional possession of a controlled substance by person not registered, use and possession of drug paraphernalia and driving an unregistered vehicle. Charges were filed Jan. 11.
• William Burke, 44, of Pitcairn with a DUI charge. The charge was filed Dec. 7, 2019.
• Nicole M. Simmons, 34, of Export with three DUIs, speeding, careless driving, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection and not having evidence of an emission inspection. Charges were filed Oct. 31 by Pennsylvania State Police.
