PennDOT will be replacing the bridge carrying I-376 over Old William Penn Highway in Monroeville. The project will last until mid-july.

Part of Old William Penn Highway in Monroeville will be closed next week as PennDOT replaces the superstructure of the bridge that carries the Parkway East above the road.

Old William Penn will close between Evergreen Drive and Duff Road from April 22-25, to allow construction crews to continue replacing the bridge.

Traffic will be detoured on Garden City Drive and Laurel Drive.

The work is part of the $70 million Parkway East Betterment Project. It includes this project, along with two bridge rehabilitations and six bridge preservations. The work is expected to be complete in the fall of 2026.
