Police log: Monroeville police charges filed from Oct. 19-27

Monroeville police filed the following charges Oct. 19 to 27 with District Judge Jeffrey L. Herbst. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted:

• Santo Lurito, 54, of Monroeville with simple assault and harassment. Charges were filed Oct. 19 in connection with an incident along the 100 block of Cambridge Square Drive.

• James Hamilton Moore, 32, of New Kensington with providing authorities false information and the illegal sale or transfer of a firearm. The charges were filed Oct. 23 in connection with an incident at Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Monroeville Mall.

• Joseph Hughes, 27, of Braddock with disorderly conduct, failing to give police department immediate notice of an accident, causing a crash involving death or personal injury, reckless driving, failing to stop and give information or help, failing to provide proof of financial responsibility for a vehicle, careless driving, speeding, five counts each of criminal mischief and causing an accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle. Charges were filed by Pitcairn police on Oct. 23 in connection with an incident along the 300 block of Second Street.

• Casey Briggs-Morris, 27, of Penn Hills with retail theft. The charge was filed Oct. 26 in connection with an incident along the 4200 block of William Penn Highway.

• Michael Keilman, 31, of Clover with driving the wrong way in traffic and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Oct. 26 in connection with an incident along the 5000 block of William Penn Highway.

• Cody Hulse, 28, of Latrobe with possession of heroin, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Oct. 26 in connection with an incident along the 5000 block of William Penn Highway.

• John J. Brandon, 32, of Pittsburgh with theft from a vehicle, receiving stolen property and having access to a fraudulent device. Charges were filed Oct. 27 in connection with an incident along the 3800 block of Northern Pike.

• Rayshawn Howard, 34, of Monroeville with defiant trespassing. The charge was filed Oct. 27 in connection with an incident along the 3900 block of William Penn Highway.
