Drug, firearms cases recently handled by Judge Herbst in Monroeville - Jul. 11, 2019

Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• Raymond Cobb, 18, of Woodbridge, VA on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and providing false identification to law enforcement. Charges were filed June 28.

• Joel Senchur, 55, of Monroeville on charges of firearms not to be carried without a license and driving under the influence. Charges were filed Feb. 27.

• Natasha Cook, 43, of Homestead on charges of retail theft and possession of controlled substances. Charges were filed May 10.

• George Buchanan, 26, of Monroeville on charges of tampering with physical evidence, two counts of possession with intent to deliver and two counts of possession of controlled substances. Charges were filed Feb. 4.

• Rexford Wright, 22, of Hagerstown, MD on charges of robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery, resisting arrest, two counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of receiving stolen property. University of Pittsburgh police filed the charges June 22.

• Brandon Murray, 36, of Pittsburgh on charges of retail theft, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed June 17.

• Joseph Smith, 27, of Chicago on charges of receiving stolen property, hindering apprehension/prosecution, possession of marijuana, unlawful device making equipment possession, possession of firearm prohibited and 14 counts of conspiracy. State Attorney General’s Office filed the charges June 28.

• Richard Mains, 58, of Turtle Creek on charges of possession of controlled substances. Charges were filed May 3.

• Fahad Ahmed, 37, of Monroeville on charges of criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, flight to avoid apprehension, two counts of theft by unlawful taking and two counts of possession of controlled substances. Charges were filed March 29.

Waived preliminary hearings

• Steven Grebenz, 41, of North Huntingdon on charges of possession with intent to deliver, possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and failure to stop at red signal. Charges were filed March 11.

• Marcus McCullough, 22, of North Versailles on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, theft by unlawful taking, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, strangulation and harassment. Pitcairn police filed the charges June 24.

• Daniel Kelly, 18, of Clairton on charges of endangering the welfare of children, possession of controlled substances, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of receiving stolen property. Charges were filed June 28.

• William Scott, 49, of Monroeville on charges of driving under the influence and exceeding 55 mph in other locations by 41 mph. State police filed the charges April 16.

• Maurilio Serrano, 52, of Monroeville on charges of driving under the influence, careless driving and exceeding 55 mph in other locations by 35 mph. State police filed the charges April 16.

• Jalen Smith, 19, of Chicago on charges of escape, possession of instruments of a crime, providing false identification to law enforcement, unlawful device making equipment, possession of firearm prohibited, possession of marijuana and 17 counts of conspiracy. State Attorney General’s Office filed the charges June 28.

• Timothy Thornton, 43, of North Versailles on charges of retail theft and conspiracy. Charges were filed May 3.
