Trespassing, DUIs, drug charges among those recently handled by Judge Herbst in Monroeville

Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• Joseph M. Hart, 37, of Monroeville on charges of receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and driving under a suspended or revoked license. Charges were filed Nov. 5.

• Monica Jean Simpson-Jeannette, 56, of Beaver Falls on charges of carrying a firearm without a license, causing an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle, disregarding traffic devices, making an unsafe U-turn, making a U-turn where visibility is limited, reckless driving, failing to stop and render aid, illegal possession of a firearm and a DUI. Charges were filed Nov. 1.

• Craig F. Bolton, 57, of Greensburg on charges of simple assault and harassment. Charges were filed by UPMC police on July 24.

• Frederick Knight, 27, of Pittsburgh on charges of criminal trespassing, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving under a suspended or revoked license, failing to stop at a stop sign, not using the correct turning signals, speeding, abandoning a vehicle on public or private property, reckless driving, having too tinted windows, unauthorized use of a vehicle, two counts of disregarding traffic lanes and three counts of recklessly endangering another person. Charges were filed Oct. 22.

• Robert Lewis Kemp, 42, of Altoona on charges of possession with intent to deliver, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, drug possession, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, disregarding a traffic lane, reckless driving, criminal use of a communication facility and three counts of criminal conspiracy. Charges were filed Oct. 10.

• Nicholas Empfield, 26, of Blairsville on charges of possession with intent to deliver drugs, drug possesion and driving under a suspended or revoked license. Charges were filed Sept. 30.

• Joseph Lunney, 21, of Monroeville on charges of recklessly endangering another person, attempting to falsely incriminate someone, disorderly conduct, littering and reckless driving. Charges were filed Aug. 16.

• Nicholas William Norris, 28, of Wilmerding on charges of use and possession of drug paraphernalia and defiant trespassing. Charges were filed by Pitcairn police on Aug. 29.

Waived for court

• Jacob Allen Eanniello, 34, of Monroeville on charges of use and possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, careless driving, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection and a DUI. Charges were filed Aug. 31.

• Trace Lamar Williams, 26, of Rankin on charges of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. Charges were filed Aug. 29.

• Amber Didolce, 31, of Pitcairn on charges of endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person. Charges were filed by Pitcairn police on Oct. 4.

• Jonathan McCray Teams, 32, of Pitcairn on charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment. Charges were filed by Pitcairn police on Oct. 25.

• Julius Lamont Carrington, 45, of Pitcairn on charges of robbery, theft by unlawful taking and harassment. Charges were filed Oct. 26. He faced separate charges of defiant trespassing and disorderly conduct. Those charges were filed by Pitcairn police on Oct. 2. Another charge of defiant trespassing was heard. That charge was filed by Pitcairn police on Aug. 26.

• Vernon Fred Embry, 59, of Indiana on charges of failing to keep in right lane of traffic and two DUIs. Charges were filed Sept. 16.

• Michael Behanna, 33, of North Versailles on charges of drug possession and use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed June 17.

• Cody Joe Flora, 32, of Edensburg on charges of drug possesion, use and possession of drug paraphernalia, driving the wrong way, careless driving and two DUIs. Charges were filed Sept. 13.

• Steven Grebenz, 43, of North Versailles on charges of drug possession and public drunkenness. Charges were filed July 1.

• Avram Ellington Trotman, 33, of McKeesport on charges of possession with intent to deliver, disorderly conduct, causing an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle, drug possession, operating a vehicle under a suspended or revoked license, disobeying a traffic director, disregarding a safety zone, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to notify police of an accident involving an injury, failure to display a certified inspection and two counts of causing an accident involving injury. Charges were filed by Pitcairn police on Aug. 14.

• Vanessa Kowalyk, 34, of Plum on charges of following too closely, careless driving, reckless driving and two DUIs. Charges were filed by Pennslyvania State Police on June 11.
