Here’s a brief summary of some of the top stories from around the Monroeville area this past week.

• Len Young, chair of the Monroeville Republican Committee, will join about 50 others from the area to participate in demonstrations this weekend in Washington, D.C. • Travelers beware: there may be delays from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. between the Allegheny Valley and Pittsburgh exits tonight on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in both directions.
