1 injured in Knoxville shooting

A man in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood was found early afternoon Tuesday with a gunshot wound to his back.

Pittsburgh first responders located the man in his early 20s on the 300 block of Brownsville Road.

Public safety officials said they were responding to a report of six rounds of gunfire that occurred around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Medics transported him to the hospital in critical condition where he was taken into surgery.

Pittsburgh Police detectives are investigating.

At least 5 displaced after fire in McKeesport

A fire engulfed two buildings in McKeesport on Tuesday evening, leading to the displacement of at least five people.

Fire crews responded to a blaze at the 400 block of 29th Street in McKeesport shortly after 8 p.m., according to Triblive news partner WTAE.

The fire started on the second floor of a multi-unit home, spread to its attic and leaped to a neighboring home, McKeesport Fire Chief Jeff Tomovcsik told WTAE.

No injuries were reported.

But the first build that caught fire will likely be a total loss.

“I lost everything, everything that I built,” resident Vinetto Cobbs said. “Everything that I put in there was brand new. Everything that was in there was ’cause of me. So I don’t know.”

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the blaze.

The Salvation Army and the Red Cross were on scene assisting the people displaced, according to WTAE.
