Crews battled a fire in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield section late Thursday.

A missing 30-year-old University of Pittsburgh medical student has been found dead.

The body of Luis Espinoza, who had been missing since Monday, was found Friday around 8:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Sterling Street in the city’s South Side Slopes section.

Espinoza was last seen around 10:30 a.m. Monday near South Side Park off of Mission Street in the same neighborhood, police said.

He was walking his Doberman at the time. The dog was later found running loose.

Pittsburgh police are investigating. A police spokesperson said preliminary indications are that Espinoza’s death does not appear suspicious.

Investigators are awaiting autopsy results from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
