Man shot in foot in Beltzhoover

Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting Sunday night in the city Beltzhoover’s neighborhood.

Officers responded around 11:15 p.m. to reports of 24 rounds fired in the 200 block of Industry Street, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

At the scene, police located a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the foot at the scene.

He was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.

Patchy fog blankets region

Foggy conditions are once again expected to blanket the Western Pennsylvania region Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.

Motorists are urged to use caution while driving until around 9 a.m.

“We have some patchy, dense areas out there,” said NWS Meteorologist David Shallenberger.

This week, daytime high temperatures will hover below or at normal because cooler than normal air has moved in from up north, he said. Normal daytime high temperatures are about 83 degrees for the first week in August.

Humidity levels will be more comfortable, compared to last week, until the end of the week.

“Friday will be a little more soupy, because the relative humidity will be at 65%,” Shallenberger said.

Rain is not expected in the region until Thursday, with widely scattered thunderstorms in the forecast Thursday.
