Police say elderly Homewood woman was sexually assaulted
Pittsburgh police are investigating a sexual assault of a Homewood woman in her 80s.
She was reportedly assaulted early Saturday morning at a home on the 500 block of Rosedale Street, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
After speaking with investigators, the woman was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. Police have been questioning neighbors and searching for any security video to help solve the case.
Police said they have not yet identified a suspect.
Anyone with information or video that can help police is asked to call police headquarters at 412-323-7800 and request to speak with an SVU detective.
Downtown Pittsburgh tunnel, bridge to close for race
The outbound lanes of the Armstrong Tunnel and the Philip Murray Bridge will be closed from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday for the Pittsburgh Penguins’ 6.6K Run and Family Walk.
The inbound lanes of the tunnel is currently closed for rehabilitation work.
There will be no posted detours, but outbound motorists can use Forbes Avenue, the Birmingham Bridge and East Carson Street to get around the closures.

Somerset man shot in stomach during argument
A Somerset County man was shot in the stomach Wednesday afternoon during a domestic dispute, according to authorities.
Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop A station responded to a home along Demarco Road in Jenner Township shortly after 2 p.m. and found a 47-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, police said.
Police said a 20-year-old family member who was involved in the shooting was detained.
