A water line break early Wednesday morning in Pittsburgh’s South Side Slopes neighborhood has caused an icy mess.

Water line break in South Side

A water main break in Pittsburgh’s South Side Slopes neighborhood has left one street an icy mess.

Crews were called to Mission Street near South 21st Street early Wednesday, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.

Water will be shut off while repairs are made.


No injuries reported in Beechview fire

Crews battled a house fire Tuesday in Pittsburgh’s Beechview neighborhood.

No injuries were reported, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.

Emergency crews from multiple departments were called at about 5:30 p.m. to the 200 block of Sebring Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing.


Cold closes the courts again

Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas is closed for the second day because of bitter cold temperatures.

Magisterial District Courts and Pittsburgh Municipal Court are also closed.

Arraignment Court will remain open and emergency Protection from Abuse Orders can be obtained there. The office is at 660 First Ave., Pittsburgh.
