Pittsburgh Police said a motorcyclist is in critical condition after a vehicle that had been parked pulled out in front of him late Sunday night in the city’s South Side neighborhood.

First responders were called to East Carson and South 21st streets around 11:45 p.m. for a report of a collision. They arrived to find an adult male motorcyclist with “significant” injuries, police said.

Pittsburgh EMS took the man to a local hospital in critical condition, according to police.

Police said the man was traveling south on East Carson Street when the driver of a parked Jeep pulled out in front of him. The Jeep’s driver remained at the scene.

Police are investigating and did not release the name of the motorcyclist.
