A motorcyclist was killed late Sunday after colliding with a vehicle near Regent Square.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office early Monday identified the man as Roy Calvin Holiday IV, 37, of Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Pittsburgh police, firefighters and EMS responded to the 500 block of South Braddock Avenue, near the road’s intersection with Forbes Avenue, for the reported collision at about midnight.

They found Holiday “in traumatic arrest” at the scene, police spokeswoman Cara Cruz said. Officers performed CPR until medics arrived and took him to an area hospital in critical condition.

Holiday died at 12:46 a.m. Monday at UPMC East hospital in Monroeville, the medical examiner said. No cause or manner of death has been determined yet.

The driver of the vehicle was not hurt, Cruz said.

The police bureau’s Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
