18-year-old dies after car collides with box truck in North Versailles

An 18-year-old man died after his car collided with a box truck in North Versailles early Wednesday evening, according to Allegheny County Police.

Emergency officials were dispatched to the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Isaac Street just after 5:30 p.m. for a two-vehicle collision, police said.

According to county detectives, the man driving the car was traveling eastbound on Lincoln Highway when the car crossed the center line, striking the box truck.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Xander Wehrhan of Wall.

The person driving the box truck stayed at the scene, police said.

According to the medical examiner’s office Wehrhan’s death was ruled an accident.
