Students at FR Intermediate School’s Media Center explored two styles of programming, block coding, and color coding, of Ozobot robots. Fifth grade students at Franklin Regional Intermediate School are learning about entrepreneurship. Natalie Tedesco, an FR graduate, visited them to talk about the personal skill set and leadership qualities needed to start and run a successful business. As a former Army staff sergeant and the owner of Tedesco Body Shop in Murrysville, Tedesco discussed integrity, bravery, discipline, personal responsibility, selflessness, resilience, and time management with students. She also put them through some exercises.

Students at Franklin Regional Primary and Intermediate schools have had a busy holiday season. From serving snacks for staff to STEAM projects and more, elementary students have been making the most of the new and renovated buildings they returned to this school year.

Franklin Regional students will be on winter break from Dec. 23-31, returning to school on Jan. 3.
