Hampton seeking residents to serve on advisory boards

Hampton is accepting letters of application from residents interested in serving on the Environmental Advisory Council, Zoning Hearing Board and the Shaler Hampton EMS Board.

The environmental council is responsible for reviewing land development applications to ensure compliance with environmental protection regulations.

In addition, issues related to the protection, conservation, management, promotion and use of natural resources, including air, land and water are also within their review.

The zoning board reviews and decides on variance applications. A variance may be submitted as an appeal to a permit denial, notice of violation or determination by the zoning officer.

The emergency medical services board will have an appointment available beginning in 2021. The board serves as the appointed board of directors overseeing the service’s administrative and fiscal operations.

Residents interested in serving in one of the positions should send a letter to: Township of Hampton, Attn: Township Council, 3101 McCully Road, Allison Park, PA 15101.

The letter also can be sent by email to: susan.bernet@hampton-pa.org.

Tickets available for Hampton school sports events

A limited number of tickets are available for Hampton School District fall sporting events.

The state’s order to help limit the spread of coronavirus limits the number of people who can attend outdoor events to 250 people.

Tickets can be reserved online at: hamptonathletics.org.

There is a limit of two tickets per person. Patrons can also buy tickets at the gate using a credit or debit card.

No cash will be accepted. Gate tickets will not be sold after the 250-person capacity has been reached.

Gold Card members should contact the athletic department directly to obtain tickets by sending an email to: gibbons@ht-sd.org.

A face covering must be worn while in the stadium and social distancing is required.
