Christopher Lee, 18, from McCandless, has earned the distinction of being named a U.S. Presidential Scholar. Christopher shared a little about himself as well as his thoughts on earning this prestigious honor.
What are your school activities? I participate in Computer Club, NA Project Water, HackNA, National Honor Society, Science Bowl, and Junior Classical League.
What are your college plans and what do you plan to study? I will attend Harvard College in the fall and plan to study environmental science and engineering.
How does it feel to be one of 161 students nationwide to receive this honor? I’m very surprised and honored.
Anything else you’d like to add? I am grateful to my parents, North Allegheny School District, and my dedicated teachers for the opportunities they have provided me. They have played a huge role in my success and in preparing me for the next step.

Christopher also received a United State Congressional Award Gold Medal in Washington, D.C. in June 2018.
