The 59th annual North Hills Marching Band Festival will be held on Saturday at Martorelli Stadium starting at 7 p.m.

In addition to the marching band from North Hills, the Sept. 14 event will feature performances by bands from Avonworth, Bethel Park, Chartiers Valley, Ft. Cherry, Ft. LeBoeuf, Northgate, Sto-Rox, South Fayette and South Park high schools.

The North Hills band’s performance is titled “Renegade,” which was arranged specifically for this year’s band and is part of the pregame show.

The “throwback” performance features musical selections including “All Along the Watchtower,” “Pinball Wizard,” and “With a Little Help From My Friends.” The band’s march features music by John Williams.

Tickets cost $8. Children 5 and younger are free.

Refreshments and other items will be available for purchase.

In the event of rain, the festival will be moved to the North Hills Middle School gymnasium, 55 Rochester Road, Ross Township.

The event is sponsored by the North Hills Instrumental Parents’ Association.
