Cassidy Sauers 10, checks out some of the hand-made greeting cards and other crafts for sale at the Ross Township Community Center, which played host to Northland Public Library’s fall craft and vendor show Sept. 14, 2019 to help raise money to support the library.

A craft and vendor sale sponsored by the Northland Public Library Foundation on Sept. 14 was among an array of fundraising activities held to mark September as “Love Your Library” month.

The event, held at the Ross Township Municipal Center, featured a variety of handmade crafts, clothing and specialty gifts as well as prize auctions and a bake sale.

While residents can help support the library any time of the year, doing so in September can make the donation more valuable.

Through the end of the month, the Jack Buncher Foundation will provide a partial, pro-rated match of all funds raised.

Here are some of the ways residents can help support the library during September:

• Dine at Blaze Pizza in The Block Northway on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Coupons are available at the library or online.

• Buy roses at McCandless Floral, 8105 Perry Highway. For every dozen roses purchased in September, $5 will be donated to the library.

• Dine at the library during Food Truck Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m.; a portion of all sales will be donated to the library. PGH Crepes will be at the library Sept. 19 and 26.

• Visit the fall Book Sale at Northland from Sept. 27 to 29.

• Donate to the Learning Garden capital campaign.

• Make a gift in any amount to the foundation.

More details on how to help are available online.
