Ross tax collector sets office hours for discount period

Starting Aug. 22, the tax collector for Ross Township and the North Hills School District will hold regular office hours for residents who want to pay their taxes in person before the end of the discount period.

Residents must have their tax payments postmarked by Aug. 31 to receive a 2% discount on their bills.

Tax collector Sarah Poweska and representatives from Jordan Tax Service Inc. will be in the upper level of the Ross Township Municipal Building during the following days and hours to process tax payments:

• Aug. 22, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Aug. 23, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Aug. 24, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Aug. 27, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Aug. 28, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Aug. 29, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Aug. 30, noon to 6 p.m.

To obtain a receipt for the taxes paid, residents must present both copies of their bill.
