SitelogIQ hired as construction management, design firm for West View Elementary renovation
The North Hills School District Board of Education agreed to hire Harrisburg-based SitelogIQ as the construction management and design firm for the upcoming West View Elementary renovation project.
West View Elementary, located on Chalfonte Avenue, is nearly 100 years old and is a planned project for the district.
Mike Arnold of SitelogIQ provided the company’s presentation to the board during the first monthly meeting on Sept. 2, and the board voted unanimously to hire the company during its Sept. 16 legislative meeting.
Arnold, who will act as program executive for the West View project, shared information with the board regarding construction management services and introduced team members Rochelle Fennell, senior project manager, and Algie LaBrasca, the on-site construction manager.
SitelogIQ will oversee the renovation project from the planning stages through completion and will be paid $889,492 for their services, funds that will come out of the Capital Project Fund.
The company also has an office in Oakmont and has managed other recent school projects, including ones in Peters Township, Woodland Hills and Riverview school districts.
Approval was also given during the legislative meeting on the payment for general fund bills dated July 27 to Aug. 19 in the amount of $1,270,632, capital fund bills for $89,731, food service fund bills for $4,495, and payroll for the month of August totaling $2,939,421.
The board’s next scheduled meeting will be held on Oct. 7 in the LGI room at North Hills Middle School.
