Southbound lanes of Interstate 79 reopened Sunday night after a crash closed part of the road in the North Hills for several hours, according to PennDOT.

Crews closed the highway around 8:30 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Road, exit 68, because of a truck crash, PennDOT spokeswoman Yasmeen Manyisha said. The road reopened around 10:30 p.m., according to PennDOT’s Twitter page.

The incident involved one tractor-trailer in Sewickley Hills, according to Allegheny County 911. No injuries were reported.

“Crews need to clear the crash and clean up the spilled contents from the truck,” Manyisha said at the time.

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh reported that road conditions in the area were beginning to decline as snow continued to fall throughout the night.
